Important Information Before Becoming a Client

Appointment Policies

• Please arrive on time. There is no need to arrive early, as breaks are scheduled between clients.

• If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule.

• Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. We do not double-book sessions.

• A 24-hour cancellation notice is required to avoid being charged in full.

• No-call, no-show appointments will not be rebooked.

• Please call if you cannot attend your appointment.

Hygiene & Health Requirements

• Please shower the day of or the night before your appointment.

• Maintain good personal hygiene.

• Do not attend your appointment if you are sick.

• Please use the restroom before your session. Extended restroom breaks during the session will be deducted from your scheduled time.

Draping & Professional Boundaries

• Proper draping is maintained at all times.

• You must keep your underwear on (men and women).

• Genitalia and breast tissue will never be exposed.

• Glute work is performed over the sheet only.

• No massage will be performed in the groin or private areas.

• The breasts of female clients remain draped at all times. Breast massage will only be performed with written consent prior to the session.

• Draping of the genital area and gluteal cleavage will be maintained at all times.

Professional Conduct Policy – Zero Tolerance

Therapeutic massage is strictly professional and non-sexual.

Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:

Sexual or Suggestive Behavior

• Sexual comments, jokes, or innuendos

• Asking for sexual services or “extras”

• Moaning or explicit conversation

• Intentional exposure of genitals

• Attempting to touch the therapist in a sexual manner

Physical Boundary Violations

• Removing draping without instruction

• Refusing to remain properly draped

• Grabbing or attempting to touch the therapist

• Blocking the therapist from leaving the room

Verbal Harassment

• Offensive, discriminatory, or abusive language

• Aggressive, threatening, or intimidating behavior

• Ignoring professional instructions

Substance-Related Issues

• Arriving under the influence of drugs or alcohol

• Bringing illegal substances onto the premises

Other Misconduct

• Recording or filming without consent

• Bringing an unauthorized person to the appointment

• Refusing to follow office policies

Consequences:

• The session will be ended immediately.

• The client will be charged in full.

• The client may be permanently terminated.

• Conduct may be reported to authorities and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The massage therapist is legally required to immediately terminate any session involving sexual misconduct.

Scope of Practice

I understand that:

• A therapeutic massage therapist does not diagnose illness, disease, or mental disorders.

• A massage therapist does not prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals.

• Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical examination or diagnosis.

• I should consult a physician for medical concerns.

Massage therapy is intended to address muscular tension, myofascial pain, and dysfunction.

I understand that:

• I may end the session at any time for any reason.

• The therapist may end the session at any time if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

• If I experience pain or discomfort during the session, I will immediately inform the therapist so adjustments can be made.
